Great dessert to make in minutes! My family has quite a sweet tooth and I am always looking for simple and easy recipes to create something delicious from simple ingredients. This recipe tastes exactly like a traditional Pakistani/Indian dessert called Ras-Malai, something I grew up with.

Ras-Malai – Baked Ricotta

2 cups whole milk Ricotta cheese
3/4 cup sugar
3 green cardamoms
1 cup half and half
1/4 cup almonds, sliced

Heat the oven to 425. Mix ricotta and sugar in a bowl. Open up the green cardamoms and add just the seeds to the ricotta mix. Discard the shells. Mix everything and place it in a baking dish. Bake the dessert for 25-30 minutes until the top is slightly caramelized. Let it cool off for a few minutes. Pour half and half on the baked ricotta. Serve cold.
